A small group of practitioners gathers virtually for a focused 2-hour session offered each month.
A clear, real-world conversation topic is provided and discussed openly among all participants.
Insights for effective communication are actively explored through observed verbal behaviors as shared in objective data.
The inspiration for this session comes from a colleague who shared a transformative experience. He hosted discussions on civic matters in a local pub in England, emphasizing the need for open dialogue on difficult or controversial topics to address the world’s toughest challenges.
Inspired by this, we are offering the opportunity to grab a friend and join others intent on honing conversation skills in hopes of making the world a little better. While our time together is not intended to be controversial, we do aspire to refine skills necessary for any conversation.
We believe the world needs our best conversation skills. These monthly sessions are a way to support building that skill for anyone interested in joining us.
Purpose: Maps the overarching communication network, dynamics, and conversational flow patterns across the group.
Key Metrics: Aggregates group next-speaker transitions, details conversational distribution percentages, and analyzes balance vs. dominance markers within team interactions.
Team Outcomes: By reviewing the data and considering the quality of the conversation, the group determines whether dialogue operated as a collaborative co-creation or a series of competing monologues. This ‘new picture’ of the conversation provides teams the formula to access distributed intelligence and build psychological safety – together.
Purpose: Provides a high-resolution, developmental reflection of your communicative impact within a team dynamic.
Methodology: This report is provided after the group discussion. Born out of Rackham’s framework, the report is the result of directly observed and categorized 18 verbal behaviors organized into 4 categories of Initiating, Reacting, Clarifying, and Process.
Key Metrics: Provides a snapshot of your unique verbal behaviors in this one conversation. We explore dynamics like Push-Pull communication ratio, group satisfaction metrics, and individual contribution frequencies. All explored with the invitation to consider what to do in your next conversation.
This 2-hour virtual event is not a passive webinar but rather a simple and valuable hands-on experience in which:
Each participant will walk away with a greater awareness of the group’s impact on the conversation, their individual impact on the group and a complimentary report for additional insight.
Participation is complimentary, but registration is required to secure your seat. Questions? Reach out to us directly:
